As a continuation of the well-established cooperation between EUROL 3 and the Judicial Training Centre (JTC), a Training on Insolvency Law was organized for judges of the Commercial and Appellate Court of Montenegro. EUROL 3 contracted Ms. Jasnica Garašić from Croatia as international trainer.
The training was held on 17 March 2023 in the premises of the Judicial Training Centre. A total of 12 participants took part in the training, all judges of the Commercial and Appellate Court of Montenegro. Beside Ms. Garašić, as international speaker, there were two local speakers at the training, Ms. Marijana Pavićević, Supreme Court Judge and Ms. Danijela Vukčević, Appellate Court Judge.
During the training participants learned more about the following issues: previous bankruptcy proceedings – bankruptcy reasons and authorized proponents; opening bankruptcy and legal consequences; European regulation on insolvency proceedings and provisions on international bankruptcy in Montenegrin Bankruptcy Law – basic differences; bankruptcy in Croatian legislation and practice.
Participants expressed their overall satisfaction with the training and the trainers, pointing out that all topics covered during the training were very good and very useful for their everyday work.
