Training on labour relations held on 11 – 12 May 2023 in Podgorica

From 11 to 12 May 2023, EUROL 3 supported the Judicial Training Centre (JTC) in the organization of a two-day training on Labor relations and disputable issues in practice, with main focus on mobbing and discrimination in employment. The training was organized for the judges of the Basic, the High and the Supreme Court of Montenegro. The trainers were Ms. Gović Penić, judge of the County Court of Zagreb, as international speaker contracted by EUROL 3, as well as Mrs. Ranka Vuković and Mrs. Snežana Aleksić, retired judges of the Supreme Court, as local trainers.
The main aim of this training was to inform the participants on the most important provisions of Labour Law and problems in its implementation in practice. The main focus was put on discrimination in employment and discrimination at work (mobbing). During the training, the participants learned more about the main aspects of labour relations, starting with the vacancy call, establishment of labour relations, rights and obligations from labour law relations, and termination of the labour relation and rights of employees after the termination of the employment. The expert contracted by EUROL 3 familiarized the participants with the EU and international legislative framework and the practice of Croatian courts regarding labour relations, as well as disputes arising from those relations, with a special focus on discrimination in employment and mobbing at the workplace.
Participants at the training were very active and evaluated the training as practical, concrete and highly useful for their everyday work in courts.
The good and close cooperation of the Project and the Judicial Training Centre continued through the organization of this training. EUROL 3 will keep on supporting the JTC in its future activities through expert, logistic and technical support.
