EUROL 3 organized a workshop on corruption prevention measures and on combatting corruption for enhancing integrity in the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Police Administration of Montenegro (including integrity testing).
The workshop was implemented by (retired) Lt.Col. Detlef Kreutzer, senior police expert and international consultant for anti-corruption projects and former director in the State Office of Criminal Investigation (Hamburg, Germany), and Maurizio Salustro, (retired) Italian Judge and Prosecutor and EU Senior Legal Expert.
The workshop took place from 25 to 29 March 2024 in Podgorica and represents a continuation of two missions that EUROL 3 organized on the same topic in October 2023 and February 2024.
Based on the recommendations of the previous two missions, this workshop focused on strengthening the Internal Police Control and the Anti-Corruption Department in the MoI, the presentation of a forum to enhance transparency and the communication with civil society, a follow-up discussion for the implementation of an online Whistleblower system and on eventual future implementation of integrity testing in the MoI and the police.
